Puffa – Launch of the SS10 collection
15th July – Kersey Mill, Nr Ipswich, Suffolk
As the PR agency for iconic country clothing brand Puffa, it was with great excitement that I attended the launch for their Spring Summer Collection for 2010. The clothing launch was held in the beautiful and picturesque setting of Kersey Mill, near Ipswich in Suffolk. The presentation of the collection took place in a room that was formally the old Kiln, which was part of the original mill. The walls were decorated with Puffa regalia and bunting, making the display of the new collection shine through and excite all the attendees!
As a brand with its roots firmly set in vintage British heritage the current mood for nostalgia and a return to traditional family values and pastimes has had particularly influence on the Puffa design team. As well as drawing on the archive of the brand, they have taken a leisurely stroll down memory lane. The new collection is about simple pleasures and innocent fun.
Although I am not allowed to show you the new range I can assure you that Puffa fans will be thrilled! Country and equestrian enthusiasts, young and old, male and female are treated to a refresh and brightening of many old favourites, with new fabrics, colours and styles added to the popular Puffa range, while some new items are set to be sure fire winners next season.

The whole Puffa Team turned out for the launch, and stayed to enjoy lunch and take part in some fun team-building games. The wonderful weather stayed with us for a competitive team treasure hunt as the three teams raced around the mill and its grounds answering cryptic clues and finding coloured markers.
Embarrassingly my competitive nature shone through as I insisted everyone on our team ran everywhere and I even dragged poor Carol through the hotel reception in chase of a clue, because I thought another team would beat us! Though I hasten to add I wasn’t alone as my team mates competitive traits also shone through, as Mark jumped across a stream to get to a clue quicker, Heather read the clues at lightening speed, Carol tried to type a code into a locked door so fast it got stuck and refused to open and Neil ran a misdirection campaign to try and confuse the other teams!
Our winning team was made up of Neil Farrar (Puffa Chief Exec.), Heather Otway (Marketing Ass.), Mark Smith (Sales Rep.), Carol Hopkins (Designer) and me! (Notice how we have all changed into trainers and flat shoes and seem very smug and pleased with ourselves… Honestly I think we may have taken it too seriously… though we all enjoyed the champagne prize!)

Following the launch we all retired to Bildeston Crown Hotel for a wonderful a la carte dinner and discussed the days events and activities.
I don’t think this it is too presumptuous to say, but I feel the next Puffa range of Country and Equestrian Clothing is set to be a winner. Well done everyone at Puffa, I can’t wait for Graphic Evidence to begin working on it (there is so much for us to tell you, when we can) and I just want to thank Puffa for their generous hospitality and inviting me to join them for such a celebratory and fun occasion!
