BedSoft offer a range of specially formulated bedding products that are produced from locally sourced wheat straw, oilseed rape straw and woodshavings.
BedSoft BioPlus
All BedSoft bedding products receive the special BedSoft treatment, which features anti-viral, antibacterial and insect repellent properties. The treatment leaves a bitter taste on the bedding to discourage bed eating and the whole process is non-toxic leaving the bed with a welcoming lemon fragrance. The straw is first processed using a unique shredding and chopping machine, it is then treated with a state of the art dust-extraction method before the BedSoft bedding treatment is applied.
The new BedSoft BioPlus is made from oilseed rape straw and quality woodshavings. The specially manufactured shavings are from a sustainable source, offering horse owners a bedding that has the best properties from both a oilseed rape straw and woodshaving bed. BioPlus has quickly become popular, as it is highly effective and absorbent while the addition of the woodchips help to keep the bed fluffy and comfortable.
BedSoft Original is made from the very best wheat straw and in tests it absorbed over 225% of its own weight in water. BedSoft Original is easy to muck out, has a very low dust content, and is extremely unpalatable compared to traditional un-processed straw. It also produces far less muck!
BedSoft Bio is made from the straw from oilseed rape crop and in tests it absorbed more than 250% of its own weight in water. The product is checked for moisture (maximum 15%) before being processed. Once shredded and chopped BedSoft Bio is dust extracted and the special BedSoft treatment is then applied. BedSoft Bio is very easy to muck out and extremely absorbent. Once on the muckheap BedSoft Bio, biodegrades very quickly keeping muck heaps and disposal costs to a minimum!
