BedSoft is a new range of equine bedding that offers horse owners a new quality alternative that will keep horse’s comfortable, warm and safe in their stable. BedSoft offer a range of specially formulated bedding products that are produced from locally sourced wheat straw, oilseed rape straw and woodshavings.
All of the BedSoft bedding products receive the special BedSoft treatment, which features anti-viral, antibacterial and insect repellent properties. The treatment leaves a bitter taste on the bedding to discourage bed eating and the whole process is non-toxic leaving the bedding with a welcoming lemon fragrance.
All BedSoft straw is first processed using a unique shredding and chopping machine, the straw is then treated with a state of the art dust-extraction method before the BedSoft bedding treatment is applied.
BedSoft Original is made from the very best wheat straw and in tests it absorbed over 225% of its own weight in water. BedSoft Original is easy to muck out, has a very low dust content, and is extremely unpalatable compared to traditional un-processed straw. It also produces far less muck!
BedSoft Bio is made from the straw from oilseed rape crop and in tests in absorbed more than 250% of its own weight in water. The product is checked for moisture (maximum 15%) before being processed. Once shredded and chopped BedSoft Bio is dust extracted and the special BedSoft treatment is then applied. BedSoft Bio is very easy to muck out and extremely absorbent. Once on the muckheap BedSoft Bio, bio-degrades very quickly keeping muck heaps and disposal costs to a minimum!
BedSoft Blend features a unique blend of chopped wheat straw and shavings. The specially manufactured woodshavings are from a sustainable source, offering horse owners a bedding that has the best properties from both straw and woodshaving beds.
BedSoft Ltd is based at Frieze Hall Farm in Essex. BedSoft is produced using the straw grown at Frieze Hall Farm and on neighbouring farms, keeping raw material, transport costs and the carbon footprint to a minimum!
