Soundlab Studios – practice and recording studio
20th June – Loughton, Essex
One of our new clients Soundlab Studios had their grand opening on Saturday 20th June. Adam and I were delighted to attend during the day and then for the evening party. It was a wonderful opening with a real party atmosphere, lots of people turned out to watch some fantastic artists play and celebrate the launch, the party continued late into the night!
A small stage was set up in the loft area that over looks the studios and each of the local bands, singers and musicians took their turns entertaining the party goers. Rather fittingly co-owner and driving force behind Soundlab Studios, James (Billy) Horwood and his friend Simon Land opened proceedings with a short acoustic set comprising of Rage Against The Machines’ – ‘I Wont Do What You Tell Me’, System Of A Down’s – ‘Chop Suey’ and Lionel Richie – ‘Hello’ these were all performed on guitar and ukulele! Inspired and very very funny.
I am pleased to report that the guys at Soundlabs can throw a great party and know a thing or two about producing great music. Congratulations to them and we wish them well for the future. We know that they are already booked up for the next few months, so call them now to book your recording or practice time at the state-of-the-art studios.

Simon on ukulele and James (Billy) on guitar get the music started!

We crammed into the new studios to enjoy the music (can you spot Adam and I in our Soundlab t'shirts?)
